My update has taken so long I don't even know where to start! Since my last update at the beginning of November I've had a few important events occur. First of all, after months of anticipation, I finally lost my first tooth! Soon, two more teeth followed, all on the bottom row. Right now, both of my top teeth are loose, but neither is loose enough to think it is coming out soon. The tooth fairy has been generous at all her visits. When she was here the first time, she spilled fairy dust all over my room. She left a note apologizing for the mess, but I didn't mind one bit! One thing she has left at every visit is a new toothbrush.

I had a very special surprise come in the mail one day. It was a congratulatory note from The Children's Place telling me I was one of the winners in their funny face contest! I was so happy to win and then I found out what my prize was, a $100 gift card to The Children's Place! That is soo much money. I haven't managed to use it all yet, but I have used most of it. My favorite thing to buy there are some dolls. I usually like to get the same outfit that the doll is wearing, but we didn't do that this year.

January is always a fun month because it's my birthday! I had a great party and celebration. Being 6 is a lot of fun, I think it's my favorite age so far :)

Five days after I turned 6, I got the best present in the whole world. I became a big sister! I absolutely love her and want to hold her all the time. She doesn't actually like me to hold her, but she doesn't mind when I kiss her and she always smiles huge when I sit next to her on the floor and talk to her. In fact, she makes the cutest little baby sounds when I talk. Her name is Daisy Georgette, but I like to call her Daisy George Washington DC. Get it? I crack myself up. Sometimes it seems I'm the only one laughing at the jokes I make up, but that doesn't stop me from telling them, a lot!

This month I finally decided to get my ears pierced. Mom and Dad have always said it was to be my decision and now just felt like the right time. I did cry a bit after the first earring went in, but Mom and Dad assured me that was okay and I dealt with the second one going through. They rarely bother me and I'm very glad I had it done. I can't wait until I can buy cute earrings!

Lessons continue to go well. I graduated from Math 1 to Math 2 and Mom and Dad held a treasure hunt and ceremony for me. I also started learning how to write in cursive as it's something I've been wanting to learn for a while. I only have 4 lower case letters left to learn then a few lessons on capitals and then I can write in cursive all the time! I read all the time it seems. Since Christmas I've read all 11 books in the Series of Unfortunate Events. Dad read them too so we could have a little book club and discuss them. I also read a lot of Magic Treehouse books, but they aren't challenging at all. I can finish one in about half an hour. But I love them and ask for one every time we're at a bookstore. I want to start getting some of the reference guides as well because I'm interested in the ones that are based on real things that happened in the past.

I'm loving hula and have really improved since joining the halau back in September. So far I've danced in two shows and preparing for the big one in June. I recently started a soccer clinic to learn how to play. If I enjoy it, I'll be asking to join a real soccer team in the fall. I also go to an acting fundamentals class once a week and love it! At the end of the session we'll be doing two scenes for the parents and I cannot wait. I definitely keep busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'll try not to be so long between updates. Thanks for visiting.

Love,

Love, Tabitha
