DADDY'S BIRTH STORY

Daddy&Tabitha in Hospital

Well, Mommy's story is pretty accurate. I thought it would be good for me to share what I was thinking as this was all going on. When she woke me at 7:30 or so, I immediately thought she was in labor, but she didn't think so. Who am I to argue? I went to Walmart, found her heating pad, and hurried home. She told me to call the doctor, so I did, explained the situation and he said to go on down to the hospital. On the car ride to the hospital (Which is about 20 miles) I was even more sure that this was labor. I started timing her "cramps," and they were about 3 and a half minutes apart! I didn't want to alarm her, but I certainly sped up the car a little. When we got to the hospital, and they said she was 9cm dilated, I really wanted to say, "Hah, I told you so!" but I thought better of it. She was a little perturbed with me during labor, but thanks to TV I was expecting this and just laughed it off. In fact, at one point, mommy slapped my hand to get it off of her, which made the nurse and I laugh to each other. Then came Tabitha, which was wonderful. And soon we will get a vist from our friend the sleep fairy, who used to live here, but has since relocated. We anxiously await her return.
