12/21/2005 Archived Entry: "Do you hear what I hear?"

I spent a bit of time today beefing up our Christmas music selection on the tunes of i. We have tons of rock songs thanks to KROQs annual Kevin and Bean Christmas CDs, but we were way light on the traditional stuff. So I downloaded “Carol of the Bells” and “Hallelujah” by the ever-fabulous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I found Perry Como’s version of “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and an a-cappella choir doing “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.” I’m looking for a good choir version of “We Three Kings” heavy on the men’s parts, and have not been successful yet. Chris and I plan to go through itunes together and get more though so hopefully I’ll find one. We also pulled out our Frank Sinatra Christmas CD and Joan Jett’s “I Love Rock ‘n Roll” because she does a version of “Little Drummer Boy.” Oh, Tabi was not impressed with my choir heavy choices, lol.

Right now we have the baby Anc down for a nap, Tabs and Chris are playing karaoke (which I cannot play yet even though my voice is finally above a whisper) and I’m vegging at my computer listening to music with the headphones. Turns out Joan Jett holds up to the test of time.
