12/19/2005 Archived Entry: "O'er the fields we go, laughing all the way (ha, ha, ha)"

Yesterday did not go as planned. I have the worst voice right now due to another [insert expletive here] cold. What the heck is up with our family this year? We add one person and twelve illnesses? So my voice is just awful to the point where when I called my sister, I actually said "it's your sister" because I knew she would never recognize my voice (though the caller id probably gave her a hint). Real fun ordering at a drive-thru.

So I was in a less than stellar mood and we went to the mall. You all know I love the mall. But the same mall I've gone to twice in the last two weeks compounded by the fact that it's the last weekend before Christmas and it all adds up to a bad idea. We also hit Best Buy and this is the last year I go that route for gift certificates. Next year they can all buy a book because I am not putting myself through that torturous scenario again. And holiday temps should be labeled. If I ask you a question where something is, don't tell me to try a certain dept. Find out for sure, dagnabit!

Came home and played with the little one before putting her down for a nap and vegging out on the couch with People magazine and E! Channel. Eventually had to tear myself away from the True Hollywood Story of Home Improvement and go get the hubster where we proceeded to argue about dinner (because I was in a bad mood and he was someone new to pick on). The horrible evening was the perfect capper to the rest of the day.

But today is a new day. My day started by being a bed for a baby who spent an hour asleep on me while I read blogs. Then she suddenly decides to reject me and stiffened herself into a supine position so I dumped her back into her bed. Eventually the big one will get up and the day shall begin. She has requested going on a scoot walk today (her words) so we'll probably just go to the almighty Sav-On. Not only do I have a weird love for our Sav-On, but they just built a new gigantic building for it so there's more to love. The toy aisle is still pathetic though. I can't go anywhere though until my dad's package arrives as it was accidentally sent signature only so I have to be here. Wish I had made candy this year to pass out to UPS guy ;)
