I think every post this month will be titled with a Christmas song lyric. I don't care if it makes any sense or not to the post :)

Yesterday was Chris's birthday and he has now joined me in the land of 31. This also marks 6 months until I turn 32. He had to go into work unfortunately but Tabitha and I put up the birthday banner and set his cards and gifts up. When he walked in the door, Tabitha, Daisy and I were waiting and sung Happy Birthday to him and had Chris put on the traditional birthday hat. He opened everything and up and was pleased and then I finished up his birthday dinner- veggie "meat"loaf with tomato gravy, peas and mashed potatoes. The rest of us had some portions of that as well. I think it was a nice little evening and he really enjoyed his gifts and the dinner.

Today we are supposed to start decorating. I put Tabitha's advent calendar up and she's already had her first chocolate. But the rest of the boxes are still in the garage and I don't know that I can get them down myself. I wouldn't mind waiting until Chris came home, but we're going out to dinner with his family to celebrate his birthday with them. So I'd rather get all the boxes down and then once we're home from dinner, keep Tabitha up a little later and do a little decorating. Hmm, maybe I can just find all the Little People stuff and Tabs will be content getting that up. I think that may be the best idea. I'll have her watch baby after breakfast and go poke around to see what I can find. Our new Disney Princess village is very accessible as well, so perhaps we'll get that up too. That way we're not doing anything that Chris would normally be involved in so he's not missing out. You know, we always have the problem of fitting in his birthday plans and decorating. Maybe he should start taking a couple vacation days at this time every year. It's a thought to consider for the future.
