The Harvest Festival craft show on Saturday was a lot of fun. My mom and I enjoyed seeing what was out this year. I picked up one holiday item, actually, it was a gift from my mom, and some other things that caught my eye but no table runners. I'm thinking I'm just going to have to sew some, but we'll see how motivated I am to actually do it.
Yesterday my mom took me and Tabitha to see a production of Peter Pan starring Cathy Rigby. This is her farewell tour apparently. Last time I saw the play was probably 23 years ago and Sandy Duncan played Peter Pan. Anyway, this was a really good production of the show, especially one song and dance number performed by Peter Pan, the Darlings, the Lost Boys and the Indians. It was definitely the show stopper. We were pleased to learn Cathy Rigby was going to stay after the show and we could meet her in the lobby. Tabitha really wanted to do that so we waited and Tabitha asked Cathy to sign her program.
Today I had a nice and boring doctor's appt. Actually, it wasn't that nice because I waited 40 minutes for a typical 5 minute appt. Also, the doctor said I've gained 18 pounds so far which is 7 or 8 pounds more than I've actually gained. On the form I filled out before my first appt, I was asked my pre-pregnancy weight. When I went to my appt. their scale showed me 8 pounds heavier than my home scale. So he's included that in my weight gain which isn't accurate. My scale may be off as to my actual weight, but I can still track my actual gain on it. So that cheesed me off because he kind of inferred that if I wasn't careful I would end up with a total of 40 extra pounds which doesn't make sense because even at a pound a week from now on and his error of adding that 8 pound discrepancy it only equals a total of 34 pounds which is a pound less than the maximum recommendation. So I didn't leave there happy after the waiting room time and the weight discussion. Though baby's heartbeat was good which is always nice to hear. She didn't seem to like the doppler though, she kicked it away rather hard, lol.
After my appt, we decided to hit Disneyland. We wanted to see Bert again to ask him to sign Tabitha's autograph book. We saw him walking with Mary Poppins and three penquins, Coffee, Tea and Milk, following behind like a mini parade. So we decided to follow them and instead Mary took Tabitha by the hand and they walked all over the place with Bert leading. Once they finally stopped, they decided to play a game of Hokey-Cokey. No, that's not a typo. Mary said it's the English version of Hokey-Pokey. In any case, Tabitha enjoyed playing and got that sucked in cheeks look that means she's beside herself with joy. After the game, Tabitha got her much coveted Bert autograph. After that she decided she really wanted to say hi to various characters so we met Belle, Beast, Aurora, Snow White, Jasmine, Aladdin and Genie. We also rode Haunted Mansion Holiday again and Chris took Tabitha on the canoes. Since we've been home we've all kind of been doing our own thing to relax.
