02/15/2004 Archived Entry: "where has the day gone?"
I can't belive it's already 8:15pm. The day just flew by today because I've hardly sat down. I separated the laundry last night so I could get a jump on it this morning. That worked really well in that the last load is currently in the dryer whereas many times, I don't finish until the next day. I did whatever needed doing this morning before we all snuck out of the house to go to the story. You see, our dog is dumb, this is not news to anyone, least of all me. But she has figured out that when all 3 of us leave the house with my mom cart and the garage door does not open then we are going for a walk. Walks would be the dog's favorite past time, besides jumping fences and checking out the delicacy known as the cat box. Anyway, last week, we changed our routine and started walking to the store in the morning and Chris comes with us now. While we were gone, the dog went insane because we didn't take her and destroyed our living room blinds trying to get out the window, I assume. At least the husband now joins me in my dislike for the dog. Anyway, we don't want to put her in the garage every time we walk so we came up with a plan today. Chris took her into the backyard for a potty break while I took my mom cart out the front door and hid it in the front yard. Once they were back in the house, I grabbed a dog biscuit, Chris and Tabitha went out the front door and I threw the biscuit into the dining room so the dog wouldn't see us leave. I slammed the door shut, Chris grabbed the cart from it's hiding place and we all ran to the sidewalk. We much have looked like lunatics to the neighbors.
Anyway, so the morning was done and then it was time to make and eat lunch. Then of course, comes lunch clean up and packing Chris's dinner all the while taking care of laundry. Then the child and I decided to go to the mall for a couple hours. Boy was it packed! And it was warm in there too! We were able to score some new Peter Pan PJs at 25% off at the Disney Store and also found True Heart Bear (that would be a Care Bear) at Carlton Cards so it wasn't a trip in vain. I had been hoping to find a new pair of jeans, but couldnt' seem to find any for less than $59.50 and really, I just don't need jeans that badly, or so Chris says, lol.
After the mall, it was time to make dinner, then eat dinner, then put away more clothes then do a quicky lesson, then put the child to bed, put away more laundry and here I sit now wondering where the day went. And it's not even over! I still have to clean up the kitchen, wash my face, finish tomorrow's lesson plan and......oh yeah...........collapse.
