02/06/2004 Archived Entry: "The Party"

Tabitha's party was on Saturday, January 31. The start time was 10:00am which is very early for a party, but Chris was unable to get the day before the Superbowl off of work so the earliness was necessary in order for him to be here. We had scheduled the bounce house and ball pit to show up at 9:00am, but they did not get here until 9:30 and it took a while to set up. The first guest arrived before we were officially ready! But the party itself went very well. The cake was delicious, the bounce house was enormous and the kids had a great time running between it and the ball pit and squeezing all 11 girls into Tabitha's playhouse. They were content to take a pizza break but then went right back to running around and screaming as only little girls can do. The best as I can tell, someone was pretending to be a monster and the rest of them were trying to get away. Quite amusing, if not a bit ear piercing :) We also had a piņata at Tabitha's request that the girls enjoyed hitting. After cake and presents, most everyone left, including Chris. I had two friends and their kids stay for more socializing and they helped me clean up, which is always appreciated. Despite the tentative beginning, it was all a great success.
