Since Chris is still training at his new company, he's had a pretty funky schedule. He went in for 2 hours very early Saturday morning and was home before Tabs or I woke up. My very sweet husband let me sleep in to 9:00am after Tabitha got up! It felt good, although I actually hate sleeping in, but I've been so tired lately that I needed it. After I was finally up and dressed, we headed out to the Orange County swapmeet. The USC blood mobile was there so Chris donate blood while Tabitha and I waited. It's a wonderful thing to do and something I should do, but I have issues I need to get over first. We had a good time at the swapmeet. Chris and I both got sunglasses and I finally got a jacket that is just what I've been looking for the last few months. It's black corduroy with a hood and is lined with stuffed animal type fur. It's casual, comfortable and warm, I'm very pleased.
We used a gift certificate that I got for my birthday and had a late lunch at Macaroni Grill. We had a fabulous waitress and seems we finally broke our string of bad luck in restaurants that we've been having lately. Yesterday, we all slept late, late for us anyway, and then went out to breakfast. We were reminded why we don't do things on weekends, all the restaurants were crowded! We ended up at Coco's where we all had really good food. Afterwards, we headed to Disneyland for a few hours. We finally managed to get Tabitha's picture with Honest John from Pinocchio. Now I can do the scrapbook layout of all the Pinocchio characters. Then, while we were walking through Adventureland, we saw Pocahontas! She's a character we've never seen before and that Tabitha has wished she could visit. So that was a pleasant surprise.
And that was our weekend. Chris is at work right now, so he'll be home relatively early. We'll probably both need to nap as our child came crying to sleep with us at 3:53 and we don't all really fit well in our queen bed. Chris had to get up at 4:20 anyway, but I didn't and am completely exhausted. Just as I dozed off, I heard the garage open as Chris left. Then I'd just about be asleep and the dog would start barking her head off. I think she was cheesed to be outside in the dark. Then I'd hear the cats, then Tabitha would flail and hit me with her stuffed bunny. I finally just got up and here I am. I can't even get dressed or get a start on the laundry because it might wake my child and I would never risk that.
