05/21/2003 Archived Entry: "busy bees"

We've been busy, busy, busy! Saturday, Tabitha and I met friends at an outdoor mall. My friend and I sat and talked while the girls played all over the place, watched koi fish, danced in front of a fountain, visited the pet store, and played puppets in the toy store. They only took a small break for lunch and then they were off again!
Sunday, we went with my mother and sister to my grandparents house. One of my aunts and a few cousins were visiting down here for a couple days. I had a really good time catching up with my cousins whom I rarely get to see.
Monday was a day of nothing.
Tabs and I went to a class at the zoo on Tuesday. It was called "Large and In Charge!" and was about all the large land mammals. It was okay, though there were several moms who didn't get the concept of parent participation and were almost more of a distraction than their unruly children. We have another zoo class next month and if it's the same situation, I don't think we'll sign up for any more.
Today we had our regular Mommy and Me class. Unfortunately, Tabitha took quite a tumble off a rocking horse. She was climbing down and it flipped over on top of her and knocked her in the face. Her nose had a slight discoloration and she wouldn't keep regular ice on her nose and forehead so we ended up going home. She did keep ice on it at home, thankfully. Her nose didn't swell and her forehead never developed a bump, but she does have a red area under her left eye. She was covered in grass, including inside her shirt and all in her hair, so she took a lunchtime bath and got scrubbed clean and we got all the grass out of her hair. I also gave her some children's Tylenol since it's an anti-imflammatory.
We went out to dinner with my mil and then we went shopping so she could get Tabitha some Care Bears. Tabitha has now added Baby Tugs and Bedtime Bear to her growing collection.
So now you know why I haven't updated in a few days. I haven't even checked email this week! And tomorrow is another eventful day!

Hello!! Sorry to hear that Tabitha got hurt - thats never any fun. I also want to add that if you have plain children's Tylenol (like I have in my med cabinet) with just acetaminophen in it, it isnt an anti-inflammatory. Motrin is though.
