The week is going well so far. Monday, it was pouring down rain, so we had to change our park date to a playdate at my friend's house. Tabitha had a lot of fun playing with her 3 daughters. The oldest is actually 9, but she was home for Spring Break and is very good with little kids. But of the other 2 girls, one is 6 months older than Tabitha and the other is 1 year younger, so they make wonderful playmates. The girls put on a show for us of "Cinderella." My friend also has an 8 month old, so I got to play with a baby for awhile. After our playdate, we went to get Chris and had an early dinner out, then dropped Tabitha off at my in-laws' and Chris and I went to a lecture at the aquarium. It was on "The Nature of Learning" and was primarily about what is called "free-choice learning." It was very informative and very interesting, to say the least. Most of the attendees were part of the aquariums Pacific Circle and there was a reception for them before the lecture. We were there about 15 minutes early and three different people told us to go into the reception. They were probably hoping to recruit more members. But these members are the kind that donate thousands of dollars a year to the aquarium, not exactly something we can do. We were probably the youngest people there, too. But it was nice that they said we could go in. Anyway, we were both so jazzed after the lecture that we're hoping they'll be more interesting talks in the very near future.
Yesterday and today was nothing special. Tomorrow is Chris's day off, of course. I think we're skipping Disney this week and probably just hanging out here tomorrow. Chris has been in a mood to walk lately so we might walk to meet my mil for lunch tomorrow. It's one of my 2 miles one-way uphill walks, but it feels so good to do it. Not sure how it will feel coming home after eating lots of mexican food though, lol.
Well, it's pretty cold here, so I'm off for a nice long soak in a hot bath.
