I gave Tabitha a bit of a reading test this morning. She's right where I thought she would be. She scored as an average 7.7 year old. The problem with her reading level, is finding books that are at her level word wise, but written for her age. Books for her level are boring to a 4 year old. So she reads way beneath her level. But at least she enjoys reading and that's what's important. She just loves books and I love that she enjoys them so much and really takes after me :)
Right now Tabitha is playing. She's been getting out a toy, playing a few minutes and then asking if she could leave it out so she could play with it later as well. Now, I usually say yes. But 2 days ago she got out her potato heads and they are in the play room. Yesterday she got out her blocks and built fairy houses in the dining room. She couldn't put those away because then the fairies would have no place to live. And this morning she got out her Peter Pan set and left it in her room. After I kicked a bunch of armless potato heads, I told her to play with everything today because it's all being cleaned up before bed tonight. So her job today is to play, lol.
After dinner tonight we have Kids Club at the mall. I think she paints an Easter bird feeder, but I'm not sure. It will be fun though, it always is.
